IALOC February Monthly Meeting

Tuesday, February 10th at 6:00 PM
Antonello Ristorante
3800 S Plaza Dr, Santa Ana, CA 92704

We’re thrilled to welcome our guest speaker, Vicky Carabini, who will be talking about a very special event in the Italian cultural calendar: “Language and Culture: An Italian Perspective” on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at Chapman University’s Musco Center for the Arts. This free-admission installment of the Italian Perspective series explores how the Italian language and culture shape and reflect centuries of art, politics, and daily life — complete with live poetry and music that bring the language to life. Tickets and More Info Click Here

Whether you’re drawn by your heritage or curious about how Italy’s linguistic traditions inform everything from law to la cucina, Vicky will give us the inside scoop on what to expect and why this event is a can’t-miss for Italian Americans in Orange County.

But wait — there’s more (because this is an Italian event and we don’t do things halfway):

Vicky will also be doing a drawing for:

  • Tickets to The Italian Perspective

  • A bottle of her olive oil (which may be worth more than the tickets)

And because we love to blend education with experience, we will also be gauging interest in NIABA’s 7th Biannual Italy CLE in Palermo, Sicily September 21–24, 2026, where attendees can earn 9 CLE credits while enjoying the beauty and brilliance of Sicily.

"Sai perché gli avvocati italiani amano le riunioni? Perché finiscono sempre a tavola."
(Do you know why Italian lawyers love meetings? Because they always end at the table.)

Come for the pasta.
Stay for the conversation.
Hope you win the olive oil.

Con affetto,
IALOC

ITALIAN AMERICAN ATTORNEYS OF ORANGE COUNTY
LEX ROMANA

The first ever IALOC meeting took place at Joseph D'Antony’s home at which his mother, Adelaide, prepared and served a grand, homemade Italian meal. Also in attendance was Frank Barbaro, John Di Caro, Hon. James DeCesare, Richard Pacelli, Frank Terreri, Joe DiVencenzo and several others. Over many courses of delectable Italian dishes and many bottles of Italian wine, the IALOC was born. At that meeting, the group chose the name “Lex Romana” meaning “Roman law.” The founding fathers of the IALOC knew they were destined to turn this fledgling idea into a reality so all Italian American lawyers in Orange County and their family and friends could share in their legal gastronomic endeavor.
